Tutoring: Tuesdays and Thursdays 3:30-4:00 and by appointment. I arrive at school about 7:40 a.m. and am available then if students need clarification of homework.
Welcome to my classroom! I'm Ms. Kori Eubanks, and I will introduce you to the beautiful language of Spanish and help to lay the foundation for your life-long study. Spanish is a lot of fun and involves a lot of memorizing, risk-taking, and listening. You will enjoy speaking Spanish with your friends - but don't expect to be fluent overnight. Just be patient with yourselves and take the initiative to learn outside the classroom as well. Spanish is all around you!
A little about me:
I graduated from Baylor University with a BA and MA in English and a minor in Spanish. I've been teaching for over 20 years in both public and private school settings, including two years at an all-girls' school in Japan. In addition to teaching English and Spanish, I have worked as an academic therapist for students with learning disabilities. I have two precious children, Ethan and Erin, and one very supportive husband, Kevin. This is my second year at Argyle ISD and really enjoy these students! If there is anything I can do for your children, please don't hesitate to contact me.
A note about lesson plans and homework: Sometimes teachers over plan their lessons, which can affect the accuracy of the homework listed for a given day. I apologize for this occurance the first week and will fix changes in lesson plans the day they occur by 5:00 p.m. This will help you monitor your child's homework and preparation for tests and quizzes. If your child has questions about homework, it's best if he/she can come by my room before school to get help. However, it there is some exceptional circumstance, please write me a note or e-mail me. I'll make sure to be available during activity period, lunch, or after school to tutor and clarify directions.
