Students and parents,

      Welcome back to school!  We are very excited you decided to continue with your Spanish studies.  It has been fun meeting students in the hall and hearing about their summer vacation.  Many of you have commented on your ability to speak Spanish during the summer and how much fun it was to actually communicate in Spanish in another country.  While learning Spanish it is so important to set your fears aside and practice speaking when given the opportunity.  It is the only way you will actually acquire the language.  It is my hope that you will feel comfortable in class and be willing to take chances. 

     This summer we began to work on curriculum development using the lastest research.  We will be learning together and we are very excited that the language department will be on working together to form a very strong language department.  We had great success last year and are looking forward to seeing your success this year.
