{My Family}
My name is Laurie Downe. I'm a 2nd grade teacher at Hilltop Elementary. I'm proud to say I was raised in Argyle and this is my 14th year to be teaching here. I graduated from Texas Tech University,am married, and have two children. My hobbies include spending time with family, cooking, and home canning.
I love teaching 2nd graders because they are bubbling with energy and love to learn and share their thoughts and ideas. I believe it is just as important to build a child's character as it is to increase their academic knowledge.
